Ethereal Encounters Exhibition

On June 29th the infamous Nafasi Art Space put on an amazing exhibition that celebrated the transformative power of black and white photography. Maryam was one of the talented photographers who got to show her work! Inspired by the beautiful and hardworking one of Tanzania Maryam captured this photo just outside of her home when she saw this woman walking by. For Maryam, it represented more than just beauty it represented a piece of this woman's life story that is not yet finished. It was simply only right that this photo titled "A Moment" be represented without color. To enhance and capture all of the little details black and white photography was simply one of the most powerful tools in this photograph.
